Maisha Footwear plant to explore the flourishing footwear industry of Bangladesh. According to World footwear Book 2016 Bangladesh is the 7th largest producer with a share of 1.5% of total world’s production and 22nd in footwear export with a export share of 0.4% of total export demand. Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s sovereign credit ratings puts Bangladesh at far with Vietnam. Bangladesh has a Vibrant population with 70% below 40 years age who are quick learner & dedicated. One of the key strength of this industry is possessing a large domestic raw material base that meets the demand for 10% of the world’s leather market. The leather sector includes 200 tanneries . Bangladesh has been listed in 2007 as one of five countries that have impressive economic and investment potential.
